A:The V15 cell is a compatible aftermarket replacement for the following OEM models: T-CELL-15, GLX-CELL-15, GLX-CELL-15-W, TCELL940, TCELL940SWP, and TCELL940-W. In any of these cases, the controller will continue to use the "t-15" cell type setting. This means that after connecting the new cell to the plumbing and connecting its cable to the controller, no additional action would required for operation to resume as normal.

Q:I have a Hayward 940 extended life cell that has a hole for the flow sensor. The pictures of this one doesn’t seem to have that. Does this model not support the flow sensor?

A:From your description, you may have the AquaRite S3 TCELLS340 (clear blue and white cell). This V15 cell is not intended to be a replacement for that item. For typical "t-15" type cells (including 940 extended life cells) which do not have a flow switch integrated into the cell (most common), this item fits and works properly.

A:The Hayward S340 is part of the newer S Series which require the newer S Series Cells. The V15 is not compatible.

Q:Is the APX PERFORMANCE V15 Aftermarket Replacement Cell (T-15) compatible with Swimpure Plus software version r1.4 (from 2008). Some aftermarket cells are only compatible with software version r1.5 (from 2009) and higher.

A:The APX PERFORMANCE V15 Aftermarket Replacement Cell fits Hayward® AquaRite® "T-15" Cell Type and so is 100% compatible as a replacement cell for any software release which uses the "T-15" cell type.

Q:Is this replacement cell compatible with the t940 cell and compatible with the automated system I have.

A:The T940 is an extended lifespan T-15 equivalent cell and so the operation is the same, but a T940 is projected to last 25% longer than standard T-15s. Regarding your automation system, you failed to indicate which system you have.

A:Unfortunately, we do not have replacement cells compatible with the Hayward S3 Series of salt chlorinators.
